Ghana received several nominations to the credit of Preachers, Cwesi Oteng, Herty Borngreat, Helen Yawson, Nacy, including others at the recent Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA) 2013 in London.
Many Africans were largely looking forward to the bigwigs winning big during the awards ceremony. However, the young and dynamic Gospel Rap sensation from Ghana, Preachers, emerged as the Afro Rap Artist of the Year; beating a great competition in the category which included African artists from UK, Nigeria, South Africa, Australia and other parts of the world.
Speaking to Preachers after the AGMA, they made it clear that the ultimate was the higher calling and they desire to do more in the soul winning business.
“We see this Award as a blessing from God and as a reassurance of His promise to us in Matthew 6:33; Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all other things will be added onto you.” said Teddy Owusu-Twum, Preachers’ Manager.
